Minimal and No-Prep Veneers

Veneers require tooth preparation so that they will look natural when placed and not protrude. Dr. Amini uses very strong porcelain for his veneers and in some cases he can employ very thin veneers that require little to no preparation of the teeth.

Dr. Amini offers all types of durable veneers and he will determine the best veneer material for your needs and goals.

Your route to a natural-looking new smile

Porcelain Veneers

Dr. Amini uses a shade guide to choose the ideal color for your teeth.

Designing your smile

Most of Dr. Amini’s work will be performed in the design step of your veneers treatment. In your initial consultation, digital photographs of your smile will be taken. He uses these in imaging software to help him plan your new smile.

Dr. Amini will take impressions of your teeth and will create a wax-up model that shows how your teeth will look with the new veneers. Together, you will choose the shade of the porcelain for the veneers.

Preparing your teeth and fine-tuning the design

Your veneers will be placed over the course of two visits. In the first visit, your teeth are prepared and temporaries are placed. Dr. Amini will use the temporaries to fine-tune the design to make sure your veneers are to your satisfaction and the bite and function are correct. You wear these temporaries for a week or two while the final veneers are being made. This gives you and Dr. Amini a further opportunity to test the veneers’ for aesthetics and function.

Final impressions are sent to the lab, where your new porcelain veneers will be crafted. Dr. Amini uses a lab known for its artistry in layering and staining porcelain restorations.

Placing your final veneers

Dr. Amini will place you final veneers and will make sure you are happy with them. He will make any adjustments as needed, then you’ll be all set with your brand new, beautiful smile!

What can be accomplished with Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are a fast, long-lasting solution for correcting many unwanted conditions, including gaps between the teeth, misshapen or chipped teeth, discoloration, mildly crooked teeth and teeth that have pitted or rough surfaces.

Some cosmetic dentists call veneers “instant orthodontics” because they can be used to straighten your teeth in just two visits rather than one to three years with traditional orthodontic treatments.

Dental Bonding—An economical alternative to Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain VeneersDental bonding can be a great economical alternative to veneers.

Although veneers are known to be more durable and stain-resistant, dental bonding is a great way to quickly handle imperfections such as gaps, misshapen teeth, chips and discoloration. In this treatment, Dr. Amini will apply a tooth-colored resin material and use a special light to harden it and “bond” it to the tooth. Then he will shape and polish the material so that it enhances your tooth and looks natural.
